My morning walk at SBG this morning 19 Apr 08

This is my first posting on my new blog. I hope to post nice pictures every week : )

To start off, here's my morning walk at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. It was an interesting walk. It started off with breakfast at the food court and while eating, spotted this little bird fluttering around. Never seen this bird before. Then, saw something trying to jump up the wall....oh my gosh, it was a frog! The gardener told me that it's edible : )

After that, tried to catch a shot of the flying swallow. Quite a difficult task as they are ever flying in circles. Going towards the symphony lake, spotted the sunbird which I've wanted to catch for a long long time....the scarlet one! Too bad it was too far away, so turned out small and not very clear. Hope to have better luck the next time. After that, only managed to catch sight of the common sunbirds.

While heading towards the pond....spotted a waterhen walking by, it was rather evasive. Next, the little heron flew by and was eyeing the waters for its prey. Interesting.

Was a fruitful day.
